From the New York Times
Professor Bruce D. Meyer

Harris Public Policy Professor Bruce D. Meyer was featured in The New York Times, discussing his alternative, consumption-based poverty measure, developed with James X. Sullivan of Notre Dame.

“There are problems, especially in the supplemental report, where a lot of income is underreported,” Meyer said. “We’ve made a lot of progress and it’s not reflected in those numbers."
