The grand opening of the Keller Center, the new home of the Harris School of Public Policy, was commemorated by outlets such as POLITICO Illinois Playbook and SDP Noticias, which referenced a conversation between Tlaxcalan governor Marco Antonio Mena Rodríguez and Harris Director of International Student Recruitment and Associate Dean Ranjan Daniels in which the pair discussed stays for students of Tlaxcala.

"Mena Rodríguez also participated in a panel discussion 'State of Democracy,' organized by the University of Chicago," wrote Alberto Rodriguez, who penned the SDP Noticias article. "There, the President pointed out that the rulers must maintain close contact with the population at all times so that their public policies are based on their needs and not on idle analyses."

The untranslated quotation reads: "Mena Rodríguez participó además en un panel de discusión ‘Estado de la Democracia’, organizado por la Universidad de Chicago. Ahí. El mandatario señaló que los gobernantes deben mantener en todo momento cercanía con la población a fin de que sus políticas públicas estén basadas en sus necesidades y no en análisis ociosos."
