Dean Katherine Baicker Discusses How to Judge Health System Improvements

Harris Public Policy Dean Katherine Baicker was featured in Bloomberg TV, discussing the American health care system on "Balance of Power."

"[The goals of health system reform] are twofold: covering more people, and making our health system higher value and more efficient," Baicker said. "The ACA, or Obamacare, did a lot of good in covering more people, mostly through Medicaid, but also through the exchanges, but it hasn't made as much progress as some hoped in driving down health care spending while improving health outcomes, and there's where I think there's the most room for improvement."
