From the FLI Network May 01, 2020 Sadia Sindhu, executive director, Center for Effective GovernmentSadia Sindhu, the executive director of the Center for Effective Government, was featured by the FLI Network. The FLI Network connects students, faculty, administrators, and alumni who identify as first-generation, low-income, or immigrant (regardless of immigration status), and allies with the goal of creating a community of support. "It is also important to build a community that views and values your identity as a strength," Sindhu said of navigating spaces not built for first-generation, low-income, or immigrant communities. "You need people who believe in you and constantly remind you that you were chosen to be a part of the endeavor for a reason and your role creates value that would not be there otherwise." "Own your accomplishments and potential. No one can take that away from you," Sindhu continued. Full coverage available at the FLI Network.
