The purpose of this workshop is to complement each student’s relationship with their mentor and to enhance each student’s leadership capacity and further develop their professional toolkit.  This workshop will explore how students can use their natural talents to work with information, make things happen, influence others, and build relationships.  It will also show students how they can use their natural talents to navigate networking and prepare for their career search.

Each student will receive an access code to take the CliftonStrengths assessment offered through the Gallup Organization.  This online assessment identifies your “Top 5 Talents” and provides examples of how you may be able to build upon those strengths and leverage them to maximize your success in your academic and career goals.  Results from the CliftonStrengths instrument and interactive exercises will be used throughout the workshop to assist students in refining their professional toolkit and developing a better understanding of how to leverage their to accomplish their academic and professional goals.

RSVP and attendance will count for 6 professional development credits as well as Mentor Program participation towards the Leadership Credential.

Students are expected to attend the session in full, time will be heavily based on group conversations and active participation.
