Nicole Summers

Nicole Summers is a Health Lab Project Associate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Western Illinois University.  She provides extensive coordination for participant recruitment on a large RCT focusing on people with substance use who are leaving jail or prison, including participant recruitment at local jails.  She also recruits participants through the Illinois Department of Corrections and coordinates follow up interviews for participants across Illinois. She has worked extensively with families impacted by poverty, substance use, violence, and severe mental illness. She has served this population in various capacities and roles by providing a comprehensive and compassionate approach to meet the needs of these communities. She brings particular expertise in the challenges facing people living in rural communities.
