LeChae Mottley

LeChae Mottley is an Associate Director of Career Development at Harris Public Policy, where she supports graduate students in exploring career paths aligned with their interests, values, and professional experience. She partners with students to develop practical strategies that support both short-term job searches and long-term career goals. LeChae specializes in working with the Evening Master of Public Policy (EMP) students, candidates with four or more years of work experience, and alumni.

Since 2015, LeChae has worked in social services across Chicago, with a particular focus on the city’s South and West Sides. Her professional background includes roles as a medical care manager, trauma therapist for survivors of sexual assault, and career counselor for entertainment and performing arts professionals. Across these settings, she has worked with clients of all ages and career stages, bringing a deeply empathetic, nonjudgmental approach to every coaching relationship.

LeChae is committed to building trust, fostering strong relationships, and creating a supportive space that allows students to clarify their goals and move forward with confidence. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism in Strategic Communication from the University of Missouri and a Master of Arts in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice.
