Research Coordinator, BIP Lab About Gigi Pacheco Gigi Pacheco is a Research Coordinator at the Behavioral Insights and Parenting (BIP) Lab. Prior to her time at the BIP Lab, Gigi served as a research assistant at the University of Chicago’s Urban Labs, helping to collect, clean, and analyze data for the refinement of cognitive-based crime-prevention programs enrolled throughout the West and South Sides of Chicago. She has also served in project management, community engagement, teaching, and fundraising capacities in various educational nonprofits around the City of Chicago. Gigi earned her Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Princeton University, where her research interests focused on intersectional study of poverty, education, and the family. She conducted original research projects on mother-son relationships among Chicago men formerly involved in the streets, as well as alternative measurements of residential segregation in Chicago.
