Drawing upon her ethnographic research in Ukraine, and utilizing examples from Israel, Great Britain, and the former Yugoslavia, she will explore the only seemingly mundane practices that emerge from moral thinking about human vulnerability and relatedness in landscapes filled with destruction, death, and cruelty.
