Emeritus Trustee King Harris Discusses Housing in Chicago

Emeritus University Trustee  King Harris was featured in Make It Better, discussing Chicago's successes in housing and the importance of showcasing these advances.

"The City of Chicago has too many vacant lots that could easily be improved with the right incentives," Harris said. "We could build a lot of affordable housing units if we kept them at 1,100-1,300 square feet, just like post-World War 2."

In addition to his service as a University Trustee, Harris is the namesake of the Harris Family Foundation King Harris Forum, the focal point of the Keller Center.
