From the Office of the Governor August 08, 2019 Verónica Herrero (CLA’18)Verónica Herrero (CLA’18) was recently appointed to serve on the Illinois Board of Higher Education by Governor JB Pritzker. Herrero currently works as the Chief Strategy Officer at the City Colleges of Chicago. Before that, she was Chief Program Officer of a non-profit organization partnering with community colleges in the Chicagoland area working to empower community college students to succeed. The Illinois Board of Higher Education is tasked with analyzing the needs and requirements of Illinois’ higher education system, modifying the policies that guide the state’s system of public and private postsecondary institutions.
