From The Atlantic Council
Harris Graduate Student Mahmoud Abouelnaga

Obama Foundation Scholar Mahmoud Abouelnaga MAIDP Class of 2019 was featured in Atlantic Council's EnergySource with an opinion piece in which he emphasizes that advances to energy policy must keep pace with new technology in order for the world to lower emissions as much as possible.

"For over a century, fossil fuels managed to position themselves well in the global energy map by virtue of their value and ease of use in each of the five stages of the system," Abouelnaga wrote. "Recently, new energy technologies are demonstrating their capacity to change the energy map and reshape the geopolitics of energy, but they must overcome significant challenges to succeed at scale."
