Simon Taipliadis Assistant Instructional Professor Contact Email Simon Taipliadis About Symeon Taipliadis (goes by Simon) is an Assistant Instructional Professor in the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. His teaching interests include international finance, macroeconomic policy, and forecasting. His research focuses on applied macro-finance topics, including monetary policy and behavioral macroeconomics. Simon received a PhD in Economics from the University of Florida. During his PhD program he taught macroeconomics and received two Lawrence Kenny teaching awards for best classroom performance. He holds an MSc in Banking and Finance and a BA in Business Administration and Management from the University of Piraeus. As an undergraduate, he served as an intern at the Hellenic Parliament.
