Marley Mandelaro Associate Director of Academic Advising & Academic Services Contact Email Marley Mandelaro About Marley Mandelaro serves as an Associate Director of Academic Advising & Academic Services in the Dean of Students office, where she advises a caseload of students from orientation to graduation and beyond. Marley is also the Harris Disability Liaison in conjunction with the Student Disability Services office. She is responsible for carrying out formal disability accommodations for Harris students and advocates for accessibility across all aspects of the student experience. She also supports annual Pre-Orientation and Orientation programing along with managing the Dean of Students email inbox. Marley comes to Harris from Chicago Public Schools. She served as a social worker at Tilton Elementary School and Wells Community Academy, providing therapeutic services for students with educational disabilities in addition to the general population. Marley served on the CPS Citywide Assessment Teams, determining eligibility for specialized services on behalf of Early Intervention recipients and private school attendees. She assisted in launching Behavioral Health Teams across school buildings. Marley holds an MA in Social work and Social policy with a clinical concentration from the Crown School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice here at UChicago as well as an Illinois Professional Educator's License. She holds a B.A. in theatre performance from the University at Buffalo.
