Erin Chang

As a Student Engagement Specialist, I oversee student organization advising, event management, and programming that enhances students' sense of belonging, professional growth, and overall wellness.

My professional journey spans diverse roles in higher education. At the School of Medill at Northwestern University, I developed immersive workshops and led logistical initiatives for workshop and programs for graduate students. At the Board of Trustees Office at Northwestern University, I supported strategic decision-making by preparing and analyzing meeting materials. At the Searle Center for Advanced Learning and Teaching, I conducted research on how to integrate equity into academic rigor.

I hold a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration and Policy from Northwestern University, with a thesis exploring the role of social media in fostering belonging among undergraduates in cultural-based student-led organizations. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and held an endorsement  in English as a Second Language (ESL).
