Crystal Todoroff Associate Director of Student Engagement and Belonging Contact Email Crystal Todoroff About Crystal Todoroff is the Associate Director in the Office of Student Engagement and Belonging. The Student Engagement and Belonging Team is committed to enriching the Harris student journey by nurturing meaningful connections and promoting active participation For nearly a decade, Crystal has collaborated with students, faculty, and staff in roles that directly engage with students, offering mentorship and serving as a strategic thought partner to everyone involved. Her work has mostly involved advocating for student achievement, funding, and wellness within academic departments. She is a welcoming resource to students and takes pride in recommending off campus activities in addition to the programming we have here at UChicago. She is happy to share her curated Chicago food directory and help look through reviews of any other activities that bring students joy. Crystal is deeply committed to holistic care both on and off campus. Crystal earned her Master of Arts in Education, specializing in Social Justice and Equity, from San Francisco State University. Her research focused on the Barriers and Facilitators of Black Faculty Hiring at Private Institutions. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, where she explored the realms of Organizational and Behavioral Psychology. When she's not at work, Crystal enjoys quality time with her cherished Rottweiler, indulging in brunch with friends, diving into a Bell Hooks classic yet again, engaging in strength training, or inspiring her community to embrace joy with a fresh perspective.
