About

Chad Williams has more than a decade of experience of managing reviews of organizational operations and identifying opportunities for improvement. Since 2010, he has been conducting non-partisan reviews of federal agencies initiated at the behest of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Mr. Williams has led reviews focused on an array of issues including but not limited to discretionary transportation grants, postal monopolies, and the management of federal real property.

From 2018 to 2021, he established and led a new audit division within the Chicago Police Department; this group was created to promote accountability by proactively working to assess progress toward mandated reforms. In doing so, Mr. Williams collaborated with senior leadership, sworn members of all ranks, and members of the federally appointed monitoring team tasked with overseeing the implementation of the requirements of a consent decree.

Mr. Williams holds a master's degree from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. In 2021, he selected to take part in the University of Chicago’s Civic Leadership Academy.
