Begin your professional training in public policy while still in the College. The BA/MPP program offers undergraduate students at the University of Chicago an opportunity to begin their professional training in public policy while still in the College, leading to the award of a four-year undergraduate degree in their declared major and a two-year Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree after five years of studies at the University of Chicago. It is one of two such programs offered by Harris. The Master of Science in Computational Analysis and Public Policy with the Undergrad College (BA/MSCAPP) is the other. The BA/MPP program is open to all students in the College regardless of major. Interested students should apply during their junior year. Students are required to consult with the College advisor before applying to Harris to determine they are on track to meet the admission requirements, and are encouraged to begin this conversation in their sophomore year. Program requirements and other details are available on the College Catalog. If you have questions about the Harris degree requirements, email the Harris Dean of Students Office at harrisdeanofstudents@uchicago.edu. Policies on the the results of not meeting these requirements can be found on the Harris policies page. Student profile App the Vote!
