Program Director, PhD and MACRM About Barbara Williams Barbara Williams is the Program Director for the PhD and MACRM programs at the Harris School of Public Policy. Prior to working at Harris, Barbara worked in the Dean of Students Office at the Division of Humanities at the University of Chicago. She also worked in communications roles at the European Union Center, the Global Education and Training unit, and the Center for Global Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and in registration and faculty affairs roles at the Kellogg School of Management and the Department of Medicine at Northwestern University. Barbara is a proud alumna of St. Ignatius College Prep. She earned her BS from the Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism, and her MA in European Union studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also holds a certificate in creative writing from Northwestern University, and a certificate in translation studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
