Robert M. Goerge, PhD'88, is a Lecturer at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy.

He is a Senior Fellow at NORC with 40 years of experience conducting research using federal, state and local administrative datasets to inform the decision-making of policy makers. His focus includes families and individuals in TANF and SNAP, workforce training programs, child welfare system, the criminal and juvenile justice systems, who have experienced or perpetrated violence, those who are unemployed or have disabling conditions. He has conducted RCTs, led national surveys, and built and analyzed integrated longitudinal data systems to provide evidence to inform policymaking and administrative decision-making. He has published extensively in both academic and applied publications. He is a member of the Committee on National Statistics at NASEM. He co-founded the International Society for Child Indicators. He earned a Ph.D. in Social Policy from the University of Chicago.
