PhD Student About Miguel Morales-Mosquera Miguel Angel Morales-Mosquera is a PhD Candidate in Public Policy at The University of Chicago. Miguel received his Bachelor of Science in Economics and International Business from the Universidad ICESI (Colombia) and has both a Master in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia) and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before coming to Chicago, Miguel worked as Economist at the Financial Stability Department of the Central Bank of Colombia (Banco de la República). Currently, Miguel is pursuing research in development economics and public economics. His work is supported by the Becker Friedman Institute, National Science Foundation, and Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflict Project.
