The Talk is the conversation all African American parents need to have to equip their children with the tools to be safe during encounters with the police. “Life is always going to be unfair. We are black in America. That’s the reality. But my son is of the mind that it shouldn’t have to be,” said Gardner. “He is demanding that they treat us as the law is written.
