s part of the Development and Central Bank Week, The Chicago Harris Career Development Office and Center for Economic Policy is pleased to welcome John Bouton, Senior Recruiter -Supervision and Regulation at Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. The Bank will present on its activities followed by an overview of its Employment opportunities. I want to make sure our respective Phd candidates are aware and do consider attending.  The presentation will take place on Monday, Oct. 24th from 4:30-5:30pm

The Bank will be targeting the following:

  • 2017 Supervision and Regulation Risk Management Specialist Rotational Development Program hires.  The Rotational program will likely hire in spring, 2017 and we’ll be targeting policy schools grads. Rotational program is 2 years and rotates between various risk management and large bank supervision disciplines
  • 2017 Regulatory Policy Economists in Supervision and Regulation hires, interviews will take place in January for spring/summer 2017 roles. Target audience for Regulatory Policy Economist is 2017 PhD grads in Economics or Finance. This role works with other Quants to build and validate risk models for wholesale credit risk, ops risk, liquidity, and regulatory capital
  • 2017 Quantitative Fellowship Program hires- this is system program targeted at 2017 Masters grads in any highly quantitative field – i.e. mathematical model focused. 2 years developmental program which includes rotations highly quantitative areas of Sup and Reg across the Fed System
  • 2017 summer interns at both graduate and undergrad levels across the organization – focus in finance and computer science but all majors are welcome

Center for Economic Policy Presents: Center for Economic Policy Speaker Series with Dr. Raghuram G. Rajan Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at the Booth School. He was the 23rd Governor of the Reserve Bank of India between September 2013 and September 2016. Between 2003 and 2006, Dr. Rajan was the Chief Economist and Director of Research at the International Monetary Fund.
