Day(s) Monday Wednesday Time(s) 1:30 PM - 2:50 PM Course # PPHA 32410 Term Winter 2023 Harris students must complete PPHA 32400 or pass the Principles of Microeconomics and Public Policy II waiver exam to enroll. It is highly recommended that all students have completed PPHA 32310 Advanced Microeconomics for Public Policy I prior to enrolling. This class builds on some of the concepts learned in Adv Micro I to study at a deeper level a variety of topics relevant to students of public policy. The class will build foundations for understanding risk, uncertainty, and market failures in the provision of public goods, externalities, and due to information asymmetries. Throughout the course, examples of how policy makers grapple with the theoretical issues will be discussed.
