To enroll in the Data Analytics credential program, you must be at least 18 years old and have finished at least one year of full-time study in an undergraduate institution one month prior to the start of the program.

This program is open the public and UChicago community members. We welcome domestic and international applicants around the world. There are no prerequisites, as this program is available to all academic backgrounds.

Students are expected to have a stable internet connection and computer access to complete the virtual program.

Starting your online application

Start your application then follow these steps:

  • Select the "Non-degree Program" type 
  • Select the "Data Analytics Credential” program


Transcripts detail the courses, dates, grades, and grading scales for each year of postsecondary (college or university) education as well as degrees awarded. Unofficial transcripts are accepted. You may upload a PDF copy.

If your original transcript is not in English, you must provide a translated transcript in English. You may upload a PDF copy.

English Language Requirement

Applicants whose native language is not English are required to meet the English language requirement.

Application Deadlines

We have deadlines each month leading up to the program. 

  • Deadline One: Tuesday, Dec 1, 2020
  • Deadline Two: Tuesday, Jan 5, 2021

You may submit your application any time before the final deadline listed above. We will accept applications until the program class is filled.

Admissions Decisions

We will notify you of an admissions decision within two weeks following the deadline for which you applied.

If you are admitted to the program, accept your admission and submit an enrollment deposit within two weeks of acceptance. Dates and details will be included in the admission letter. 

Program Fee

The program fee for the 2021 program is $2,500 USD.


Discounts are available for:

  • UChicago students, alumni and staff
  • Applicants recommended by partner institutions
  • Groups of three or more colleagues from one workplace


There is no scholarship available for the program. 

Deposit & Payment

Admitted students will be required to submit a non-refundable $800 USD enrollment deposit to confirm their seat in the program. The remaining balance is due at the beginning of the program. Admitted students will receive details on the payment process.
