Help advance policy through the best science of the day.

Harris Public Policy's academic programs, centers and institutes a provide a place for world-renowned faculty, students, and applied researchers to collaborate across disciplinary boundaries and address some of the world’s biggest policy challenges.

"What makes Harris so special is its invigorating mix of diverse interests, rigorous inquiry, commitment to big ideas and data-driven analysis. I do better research because I am a faculty member at Harris."

William Howell, Sydney Stein Professor in American Politics

Advancing Innovative Research

Your support of Harris' centers and institutes advances innovative research, grounded in the best science of our day, as well as educational opportunities and outreach programs that produce measurable results. From public finance to data science, government reform and family-based policy interventions, we invite you to learn more about the vital work of Harris' more than a dozen centers and institutes to explore where you can make your impact next.

“Centers provide the opportunity for interdisciplinary scholarship and bring together students, faculty, and applied researchers outside the University to focus on important policy problems and their solutions.”

Ariel Kalil, Professor and Director, Center for Human Potential and Public Policy, Harris Public Policy

Beyond supporting Harris' centers and institutes, you can also further the work of individual faculty members by establishing an endowed professorship or supporting research projects.  With your support, together, we can ensure that that more policy issues receive the exacting analysis that the Harris perspective provides that is so vitally needed today.

How You Can Help

You can have a monumental impact on the future of Harris academic centers and faculty research through several special funding opportunities:

  • An investment of $10 million–$100 million could fund operating costs for one of the academic centers listed above, helping to advance its mission and furthering its impact on research and education. As the donor, you can name the center and will receive an annual report on the center and its work.

  • A gift of $3.5 million will provide funding for a tenured faculty member* in perpetuity. Your gift can be named for a donor, and you can recommend an area of study. As a donor, you will also receive an annual report on the research and the work of the faculty member.

*Named endowed assistant professorships are also available.
