Professor James Heckman

Professor James Heckman examines in his paper "The Life-Cycle Benefits of an Influential Early Childhood Program" the positive effects of high-quality early education, especially for disadvantaged kids. While these programs are expensive (Mayor de Blasio's plan for NYC inlcudes a $700 million budget), Heckman says the results are worth the investments.
