The Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts

The Pearson Institute identifies new, innovative strategies based on data-driven analysis to transform how we understand and approach global conflicts.

The Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts and the Pearson Global Forum is the first institute and annual global forum of their kind dedicated solely to the study and resolution of global conflicts.

The Pearson Institute  fills a critical gap in identifying new strategies rooted in innovative, data-driven research approaches that transform how we understand and reduce global conflicts. Its mission advances three main areas: (1) research to understand, prevent and resolve violent conflicts; (2) engagement by annually convening the international policy and academic community to recognize new data-driven approaches to policies that reduce global conflicts; and (3) education for the next generation of scholars and practitioners through new courses and programs, all designed to help resolve conflicts and inform more effective policies.

The Pearson Global Forum will bring together pre-eminent scholars and policy leaders from a variety of sectors concerned with global conflicts—including the military, foreign service and international development communities—to ensure the regular exchange of ideas. The Pearson Institute and the Pearson Global Forum will serve as catalysts in understanding the causes of conflicts and bringing about effective new policies to resolve them.
