This course will introduce students to basic principles of probability and statistics: random variables, standard distributions, and hypothesis testing. Lectures will explore uses of these principles in policy analyses. This course seeks to prepare students for PP31301. This course will assume a greater mathematical sophistication on the part of students than is assumed in PP31001.
